Maturation controls start
Next Monday, August 24, controls ripening of the grapes in the vineyards belonging to the appellation of origin are started.
These controls will determine the state of the grapes and helped the Regulatory Council to establish the official recommended date for the start of the next harvest.
The controls are carried out by technicians of the Regulatory Council representing the five sub-regions that make up the appellation of origin and all preferred varieties authorized in the appellation.
With these controls is getting information about the condition of the grapes that will help in the coming days to the Plenary of the Control Board to determine the official start of the next season of 2015 - 216 for thr grape harvest.
However, it is possible that due to particular situations that affect each vineyard, some winery of the denomination of origin request permission for the start of the grape harvest.
