This bodega opened in 1985 as the first working bodega in Lugo province with a production capacity of 80,000 litres. From this initiative and others that followed came the D.O. Ribeira Sacra. It has pioneered the commercialisation and bottling of quality labeled wines in Lugo, using the most up to date technology. In 1988 it gave the markets the first line of aguadientes in fine porcelain bottles.
Of the 9.5 hectares of vineyards owned by the bodega, 4.5 are cultivated organically, and in the future it hopes to produce organic wine from these vineyards.
