Ribeira Sacra gets 19 Great Gold medals, 161 Gold medals and 44 Silver medals in the Galician Wine Guide 2021

11/12/2020

Alejandro Paadín, co-author of the Wines, Spirits and Wineries Galician Guide, presented this Friday, December 11th, at D.O. Ribeira Sacra, the Galician Wine Guide 2021. D.O. Ribeira Sacra has in this Guide 19 Great Gold Medals, of which all correspond to red wine and 1 white, 161 Gold medals and 44 Silver medals.

It also receives 6 Ampelos Trophies, these awards are given to wineries when they obtain 5 Great Golds, being a recognition of effort, perseverance and excellence. "It is a guarantee seal of the wineries, this recognition shows that the winery is capable of repeatedly making quality wines," says Paadín. They get the Ampelos: Adegas Moure, Algueira, Ernesto Rodríguez Pérez, Finca Míllara, Jorge Feijoo González and Roberto Regal López.

This is how Alejandro Paadín valued the representation of D.O. Ribeira Sacra in this edition of the Guide “D.O. Ribeira Sacra comes off very well as every year. The issues of crops and plots are being propped up a lot, many wines that come from plots with a lot of personality and allow the wines to have Great Gold. Ribeira Sacra is one of the regions of Galicia where the value for money is very balanced and above average."
