D.O. Ribeira Sacra begins November promotion

From November 9th to 13th, Expourense hosts the 22nd edition of Xantar, a benchmark for the most cutting-edge food and wine destinations, both in Spain and Portugal, which also attracts international participants, mainly from Latin America.

D.O. Ribeira Sacra will have its Wine Tunnel where 20 wines from 11 wineries will be represented: Bodegas Rectoral de Amandi S.A.U., Bodegas Petrón S.L., Val de Quiroga S.L., Pazo de la Cuesta S.L.U., Arias Fernández Tomás, Caneiro Núñez Carlos; Bodegas de Santa María de Nogueira S.L., D´Fran S.C., Pérez Pérez José Luis, Moure Fernández Rubén, Adega Ponte da Boga S.L.

The wines of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra will also be present in the following activities:

• Day 9 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm: Workshop: “Quality Experiences in Galicia”. Tasting of products with indicative quality: Lacón Gallego I.G.P, Faba de Lourenzá I.G.P, Potato from Galicia I.G.P. and Grelos de Galicia I.G.P accompanied by D.O. Ribeira Sacra Red and D.O. Valdeorras white.
• Day 9 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Gastronomic Workshop “Galicia knows how to love: PescadeRías, the pantry of artisanal fishing” with D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
• Day 9 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Showcooking and tasting. Grilled Porco Celta Taco Mex with chestnuts, paired with D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
• Day 10 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Showcooking and tasting: Boi de Allariz and products from the biosphere reserve, paired with D.O. Ribeira Sacra.
• Day 10 from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.: Commented tasting of the red wines awarded with “Acios de Oro” at the Catas de Galicia 2022.
• Day 11 from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.: Commented tasting of the white wines awarded “Acios de Oro” at the Catas de Galicia 2022.
• Day 12 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Gastronomic Workshop “Galicia knows how to love: PescadeRías, Noia Cockle”. Collaborates Brotherhood of San Bartolomé de Noia. With D.O. wines Ribeira Sacra.
• Day 13 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Tasting Showcooking: Kitchen for D.O. Ribeira Sacra.

In addition, the Sober City Council offers tastings of wines from Amandi, a subzone of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra, on the 9th and 12th, with Rosca de Sober and D.O. Galicians cheeses.

And on November 9th the D.O. Ribeira Sacra will also be in Amsterdam at the 1st Galician Wine and Spirits Exhibition promoted in the Netherlands by the UEC, the Spanish Union of Tasters. D.O. Ribeira Sacra attends with the ACRUAGA, together with the 5 D.O. Galician wine and Galician spirits and liqueurs.
