D.O.Ribeira Sacra in Xantar and the Barcelona Gastronomic Forum

D.O. Ribeira Sacra attends one more year the International Gastronomic Tourism Exhibition, Xantar23, which is held in Expourense until November 5th. 10 wineries of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra participate with more than fifteen wines in the Wine Tunnel that is held for professionals in the sector.

The participating wineries are: Bodegas Regina Viarum, Adega Galanteiro, Alouviño, Bodega Rectoral de Amandi, Viñas de Belesar, Adegas Condado de Sequeiras, Régoa, Chao do Couso, Bodegas Petrón, Bodega Gullufre (Isabel Fernández Prado)

After taking part, during the first day, in the “A walk through Galicia” Tasting and the “Quality Experiences of Galicia” Workshop with Lacón Gallego IGP, Faba de Lourenzá IGP, Pataca de Galicia IGP and Grelos de Galicia IGP, the wines of D.O. Ribeira Sacra will also be present in the following activities:

  • November 3th at 1:45 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Tasting of Amandi Wine and Rosca de Sober with Galician D.O cheeses. Location: Gastronomic Festival Space.
  • November 3th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: “Galicia knows how to love: Mexillón de Galicia.” D.O. Ribeira Sacra Wines. Taught by: José Manuel Mallón Ardiós. Remollo Gastronomic Space (Ames – A Coruña). Location: Cuevas Group Classroom.
  • November 3th from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: Commented tasting of the red wines awarded with “Acios de Ouro” at the Galicia Tastings 2023, where 5 red wines from the D.O. Ribeira Sacra: Viña Vella (Best Red Wine of Galicia), 12 Adega Vella, Romeo Domain, Ó Prómine Singular and Matilda Nieves. Location: Tasting Room.
  • November 5th, 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.: “Galicia knows how to love: Aquacultured turbot and trout.” D.O. Ribeira Sacra Wines . Taught by: Criselda Iglesias. Tapería Lecer (Cangas do Morrazo – Pontevedra). Location: Cuevas Group Classroom.

From November 6th to 8th, the wines of the D.O. will be at the Barcelona Gastronomic Forum. In addition to the wineries of the denomination of origin that attend on a private level, the D.O. will participate in the Quality Experiences program of the Xunta de Galicia:

  • November 6th from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Masterclass IGP Galician Veal, IGP Galician Cow-Galician Ox & IGP Tarta de Santiago. With wines from the D.O. Ribeira Sacra. Presented by: Chef Javier Rodríguez Ponte “Taky” - Catering Boketé (A Coruña)
  • November 6th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tasting of red wines awarded with the ACIOS at the Galicia Tastings 2023. Viña Vella (Best Red Wine of Galicia), 12 Adega Vella, Romeo Domain, Ó Prómine Singular, Matilda Nieves, Sollío e Vía Romana Presented: Sommelier Alejandro Paadín.
  • November 7th from 3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Tasting of white wines awarded with the ACIOS at the Galicia Tastings 2023. 1904 Adega Vella e Sollío. Presented by: Sommelier Alejandro Paadín.
