Antonio Lombardía, president of the Regulatory Council of the Denomination of Origin Ribeira Sacra, participated in the II Marienses Agricultural Days held on June 21 and 22 in the Azores, organized by the Municipality of Vila do Porto in collaboration with the Santa Maria Agricultural Association.
These sessions, open to the public and part of the São João 2024 festivities, focused on discussing the latest trends and challenges in agriculture, emphasizing the importance of viticulture and other key aspects of the agricultural sector in the region. Antonio Lombardía's participation highlighted the significance of heroic viticulture, a type of cultivation carried out in extreme conditions requiring significant effort but producing high-quality wines with a unique character.
In this way, the Regulatory Council of the DO Ribeira Sacra continues to work towards promoting the recognition and appreciation of the region's wines both nationally and internationally.
