Ribeira Sacra Celebrates the XXVIII Edition of its Annual Awards

Today the awards ceremony for the XXVIII Edition of the Ribeira Sacra Awards took place, an event organized by the Regulatory Council of the Ribeira Sacra in collaboration with the City Council of Monforte de Lemos.
The event began with the presentation of prizes, made by the Gundivós pottery. Once the awards were presented, the cocktail party continued for the attendees, allowing a space for coexistence and celebration of the successes achieved. In this edition, the best productions were awarded in three categories: reds, whites and other vintages.The awards were distributed as follows:

Red Category:

• Gold: Val da Lenda by Victor Manuel Rodríguez López
• Silver: Campaza de Casa Moreiras S.L.
• Bronze: Ciudaseis of María Gloria Alvarín Losada

White Category:

• Gold: Sollio by Juan Alberto Álvarez Rodríguez
• Silver: Don Bernardino of Don Bernardino S.L.
• Bronze: As Glorias de Amedo S.L.

Category Other Vintages:

• Gold: 4th Generation Mencia Barrica 2020 by Don Bernardino S.L.
• Gold: Regina Dona Godello Barrica 2022 by Regina Viarum S.L.
• Gold: Prómine Singular Mencia 2022 by Bodegas Petrón S.L.

These awards not only recognize excellence in the production of Ribeira Sacra wines, known for their uniqueness and quality due to the unique characteristics of its terroir and heroic terrace viticulture, but also reinforce the region's commitment to quality. and the winemaking tradition that distinguishes it.
In this edition, 67 wines from 24 wineries participated, 23 of them red, 18 white and 26 in the category of other vintages.
