The grape harvest in Ribeira Sacra enters October marked by the quality of the grapes and 4,266,320 kilos collected

As of October 1, 2024, the grape harvest in Ribeira Sacra is progressing with a total of 4,266,320 kilos of grapes collected so far. Currently, 41 wineries are still harvesting, while 47 have already completed the process. The quality of the grapes collected so far is rated as excellent by the Consello Regulador and the wineries.

The Mencía variety remains the leader with 3,157,283 kg harvested, followed by Godello with 701,890 kg.

Thus, regarding the quantities collected in kilos, the red varieties are as follows:

  • Mencía: 3,157,283
  • Garnacha: 78,768
  • Brancellao: 29,948
  • Merenzao: 48,174
  • Caiño tinto: 38,457
  • Grao negro: 560
  • Mouratón: 5,049
  • Sousón: 29,306
  • Tempranillo: 22,431
En canto ás variedades de uva branca:
  • Albariño: 81,562
  • Godello: 701,890
  • Treixadura: 49,343
  • Branco Lexitimo: 9,062
  • Dona Branca: 7,170
  • Loureira: 6,181
