The Grape Harvest in Ribeira Sacra Enters the Final Stage with 4,868,906 Kilos Collected

As of October 11, 2024, the grape harvest in Ribeira Sacra is nearing its end with a total of 4,868,906 kilos of grapes collected so far. Currently, only 4 wineries are still harvesting, while 84 have already completed the process. The quality of the grapes collected to date is rated as excellent by the Regulatory Council and the wineries.The Mencía variety remains the leader with 3,648,902 kg harvested, followed by Godello with 719,757 kg.In terms of quantities collected in kilos, the red varieties are as follows: 

  • Mencía: 3,648,902
  • Garnacha: 109,387
  • Brancellao: 49,585
  • Merenzao: 48,778
  • Caiño tinto: 41,299
  • Grao negro: 1,565
  • Mouratón: 6,193
  • Sousón: 56,286
  • Tempranillo: 26,152
As for the white grape varieties:
  • Albariño: 82,369
  • Godello: 719,757
  • Treixadura: 53,756
  • Branco Lexitimo: 9,062
  • Dona Branca: 7,371
  • Loureira: 7,308
  • Torrontés: 1,136
