On Friday, the 27th of February the D.O.R.S. was holding the tasting to grade the harvest from 2008. The tasting was take place at the Church of San Esteban in Ribas do Miño and in the Town Hall in O Saviñao, subregion of Ribeiras do Miño. The collection of wine samples for the tasting took
place between the 18th and 24th of February by the technicians from the Regulatory Council. They collected 10 samples, two for each subregion.
The tasting to grade the harvest in this D.O. takes place every year in a chosen subregion, with the aim of making each area and its attractions better known and for this reason historic and symbolic buildings are chosen to host the events. This time the turn was for Ribeiras do Miño (Iglesia de San Esteban de Ribas do Miño) with the participation of seven tasters:

Alfonso Quiroga Losada, head of Enology Station of Viticulture Leiro.
Tastings at the grading D.O.R.S. began to do since the beginning of it, in 1996. Tasting rating for this crop was setting Monforte (subarea of Amandi) and the grade obtained was good, since then evolved each year. Tasting rating 2007 harvest resulted in VERY GOOD.
