Point of reference in the Ribeira Sacra

The Ribeira Sacra Wine Centre is now open to everybody interested in the RS

This Friday afternoon the Ribeira Sacra Wine Centre was officially opened. The opening ceremony was officiated by the Mayor of Monforte, Severino Rodríguez and the President of the C.R.D.O.R.S., José Manuel Rodríguez. Representatives from Ribeira Sacra society and economy were present at the event. The atmosphere of the event was enhanced by live music, whilst those attending familiarised themselves with the Centre´s building and enjoyed tasting the food on offer produced by the Catering College in Rosende and the wine offered by the C.R.D.O.R.S. The main setting was the courtyard of the Centre, where the Mayor of Monforte gave a speech to those attending, thanking the C.R.D.O.R.S. for all its hard work and the wine sector for making the Centre a reality. Severino Rodríguez also stated that the Ribeira Sacra was a unique place and the Wine Centre will be a further contribution to this for everybody. He concluded that the success of the Wine Centre was the wish of everybody present and that the facilities would act as a meeting place for the wine sector and everybody who wants to get to know the Ribeira Sacra. The official opening also meant that the cafeteria-tapas bar, run by the Catering School in Rosende, was open for business. Here visitors to the building can sample the best of Galician cuisine.
