Ribeira Sacra wines awarded at Bacchus 2014

Two wineries in the Ribeira Sacra' designation of origin have obtained award in the XII edition of Bacchus 2014 International Wine Competition held in Madrid.

• Golden Bacchus for Vel'uveyra Mencia 2012from the wineryRonseldo SilSL,ofthe subareaofRibeirasSil, located in themunicipality ofParada de Sil(Orense).

•  Silver Bacchus for Rectoral de Amandi mencía 2013 of the wineryBodegas Rectoral deAmandiSAU, ofthe subareaofAmadi, located in themunicipality ofSober (Lugo).

This contest is the unique in Spain recognized by the OIV (International Organisation of Vine and Wine) which makes it an international benchmark.

The competition was held for four intense days, from 14th to 18th March, more than 1,500 wines were submitted and almost a hundred national and international tasters were responsible for evaluating the wines that were submitted to the contest.
