Two wines of Ribeira Sacra on the podium of Galician wines in Euskadi

The “Irmandade of Galician Centers in Euskadi” organized this year the XIX Tasting Contest of “Galician Red Wines”, which was held in Sestao during the events of the XXXIV Galicia Day in Euskadi.

The Jury formed by members of the Euskadi Association of Sumilleres-Euskadiko Sumillerren Elcartea, gave the first and third place to two wines of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra.

Capador, Mencía barrel of 2017 of Adega Tear is the first classified and third, Casa Moreiras, Mencía 2018 of Adega Casa Moreiras.

The second classified and the accésit go respectively to Rías Baixas and Valdeorras. D.O. Ribeira Sacra had submitted to this contest 14 samples belonging to 9 wineries.

The D.O. Ribeira Sacra wines continue to obtain important awards both nationally and internationally and achieve successes in a constant progression, as a result of the common work of a group formed by wine growers and winemakers and the policies of promotion, control and quality improvement applied by the DO Ribeira Sacra Regulatory Council.
