Start collecting the samples for the XX Ribeira Sacra Tasting Wines
The Regulatory Council of Ribeira Sacra's Designation of Origin begins today Monday May 12th collectong the samples in the wineries involved in the XX Ribeira Sacra Wine Tasting which will take place on 22nd and 23th May .
The categories in which wineries can participate are: red wines, white wines and wines from other vintages complying with the following rules:
a - White Wines . competition may enter only the Ribeira Sacra Summun White Wines corresponding to the 2013 harvest being able to present a tasting, winery so many brands as you want. These indicate the minimum volume of the game, which should not be less than 1000 liters. The minimum stock at the time of collection will be 500 bottles.
b - Red Wines . competition may only enter Ribeira Sacra Red wines corresponding to the 2013 harvest, asking yourself presenting tasting , winery so many brands as you want. These indicate the minimum volume of the game, which should not be less than 1000 liters. The minimum stock at the time of collection will be 500 bottles.
c - Wines from other vintages . competition may enter Ribeira Sacra wines of different vintages from the 2013 harvest did not participate in previous editions and wines with the 2013 vintage in barrels, being able to present a tasting , winery so many brands as you want. These indicate the minimum volume of the game, which should not be less than 500 liters. The minimum stock at the time of collection will be 300 bottles.
The wineries participating in this edition are 37; Samples are registered 36 into the category of red wines , 20 in the category of other vintages and 13 in the category of white wines; a total of 69 samples are registered in this edition.
The tasting panel in this twentieth edition will consist of the following tasters:
- Luis Moreno Buj: Contributor to various journals in wine and Valencia Television .
- María Isabel Mijares and García Pelayo: Expert in Viticulture and Enology.
- Mar Romero Peratón: Journalist specializing in food and wine , host of the " Mesa and Leisure " in Manage Radio .
- Concepción Cuetos Suárez: Actress. Official International Taster. Collaborator wine supplementation El Periódico de Catalunya . Vice-President Women's Wine World.
- José María Martínez Alonso: Ribeira Sacra Panel Tasting member. Summiller . Owner Vinoteca "O Beiro " .
- Antonio Raluy Rodríguez: Ribeira Sacra Panel Tasting member. Member of the Galician Association of Tasters .
- Iria Otero Mazoy: Member of the Association of Sommeliers Gallaecia.
- José Luís Martínez Lorenzo: Member of the Galician Association of Winemakers .
- Waldo Carreras Albo: Expert in Viticulture and Enology.
- Bruno Krammener: International Journalist .
The awards ceremony will take place at the Parador de Monforte on May 23th.
