Pablo Vecilla and Javier Luengo representatives of the Penin Guide and tasting team members who are preparing the guide for the next edition of 2015, were yesterday at the headquarters of the Ribeira Sacra CRDO in Monforte de Lemos (Lugo) to evaluate the wines Rineira Sacra.
In total they were able to taste a total of 66 different brands of Ribeira Sacra wines, 15 white wines and 51 red wines, 25 wineries belonging to the appellation.
The assessments made after conducting the tasting are very positvas. Javier Luengo says wines from Ribeira Sacra pleasantly surprised because it was aware that 2013 was a difficult vintage, but is still surprised by the result.
Also says that wines from Ribeira Sacra wines are a quirky, sometimes difficult to explain, but when tasting not let you indifferent.
Finally makes a point to white wines, which sees a promising future as it considers are very unique and very different from other wines from other wine regions.
The Penin Guide is a reference guide to wines both nationally and internationally, includes references to all Spanish wines, Vinos de Pago, Quality Wine ... collecting more than 10,000 references of wines tasted.
