Ribeira Sacra gets the first 3 prizes in the Tasting-Competition Galician Red Wines held in the Basque Country

The Regulatory Council welcomed the wineries as Ribeira Sacra being made each year participated in Tastings - Contests "Viños Galician" in the Basque Country that took place late last June.

This XIV Cata - Competition "Galician Red Wines" held in Victoria - Gasteiz last June 28 the first three prizes were 3 registered wineries in the DO Ribeira Sacra who participated along with the other four appellations of Galician origin with a total of 32 samples registered.

The winners were:

• PRIMER PREMIO: MALCAVADA Mencía Selección 2013 de la bodega Araceli Vázquez Rodríguez en Sober (Lugo)
• SEGUNDO PREMIO: REGINA VIARUM Mencía 2012 ecológico en barrica de la bodega Regina Viarum S.L. en Sober (Lugo)
• TERCER PREMIO: PERO BERNAL Mencía 2013 de la bodega Amedo S.L. en Chantada (Lugo)

The awards ceremony will be held next week at the headquarters of the Regulatory Council in Monforte de Lemos (Lugo) by secretrario Irmandade of the Galician Centers in Euskadi, José David Fidalgo, which is the body responsible for organizing the tasting competition .


The Ribeira Sacra wines are in luck as they have recently been awarded in several prestigious competitions:

• Don Bernardino Mencía 2013 de la bodega Don Bernardino S.L.  Cinve Oro en los Premios CINVE 2014 Ciudad de Valladolid

• Don Bernardino Mencía barrica 2011 de la bodega Don Bernardino S.L.  Cinve Plata en los Premios CINVE 2014 Ciudad de Valladolid

• Regina Viarum Mencía ecológico en barrica 2011 de la bodega Regina Viarum S.L. Plata en la V edición Premios Ecovino 2014
