Winners in the XXVI Galicia Wines Tasting

The Rural Environment and Sea Ministry hosted the XXVI Tasting two wines of Galicia 2014 held on 10,11 and 12 June in Santiago de Compostela.
Of O.D. Ribeira Sacra 18 registered wineries participated in naming a total of 28 samples.

Yesterday July 3th at the Hostal dos Reis Catolicos in Santiago de Compostela the awards ceremony which was attended by the President of the Xunta de Galicia D. Alberto Núñez Feijoo took place. In his speech stressed the importance of the wine sector for the Galician rural areas and also mention the numerous national and international successes achieved Galician wines showing the good work of the sector.

The winners in the IO Ribeira Sacra were:

• ACIO DE OURO: SAN MAMED Mencía de la bodega ROSA Mª PUMAR RODRÍGUEZ  
• ACIO DE PRATA: REGINA VIARUM Mencía de la bodega REGINA VIARUM S.L.  
• ACIO DE BRONCE: PEZA DO REI Tinto Ribeira Sacra Summun de la bodega ADEGA CACHÍN S.C.
• 4º DIPLOMA: AS GLORIAS Blanco Summun de la bodega AMEDO S.L.
• 5º DIPLOMA: CASA MOREIRAS Mencía de la bodega CASA MOREIRAS S.L.
• 6º DIPLOMA: VIÑA VELLA Godello-Albariño-Treixadura de la bodega SAT VIRXE DOS REMEDIOS

En la categoría de COLLETEIRO E PEQUENAS ADEGAS DE VIÑO TINTO la bodega ganadora que ha obtenido el primer y único premio con el ACIO DE OURO ha sido la bodega  de Ribeira Sacra Victorino Álvarez Rodríguez con el vino SOLLÍO Mencía.


También mencionar que en la III Cata dos Licores Tradicionais en la categoría de I.X. Licor Café la bodega Adegas Moure S.A. con la marca Abadía da Cova ha obtenido el primer puesto y Pote de Ouro.
