Starts harvesting

Tomorrow, Thursday September 4th 2014 vintage starts the first winery in Ribeira Sacra, thus starting the 2014 Campaign collection grape in the appellation. The winery that starts tomorrow is vintage Val de Quiroga SL in the subarea Quiroga-Bibei in Quiroga, Lugo.
Two other wineries Regulatory Council have communicated to the start of harvest, obtaining permission to do so next Saturday 6 are:
- Adega do Mollón S. L. located in Nogueira de Ramuín (Ourense) belonging to the subarea Ribeiras do Sil
- José Manuel González Rodríguez, located in Doade, Sober (Lugo) belonging to the subarea Amandi.
These wineries have obtained permission to start the harvest due to the nature and location of its vineyards that make the grape has the parameters required by the Regulatory Consello to start collecting grapes.
Since last August 25th technicians Regulatory Council of the DO Ribeira Sacra are conducting checks at different ripening plots of the five sub-areas of the denomination. These controls help in the next week, when the Regulatory Council meets, the official recommended for the start of the harvest date is set.
