Euskadi awards arrive in Ribeira Sacra
The Ribeira Sacra Wine Center hosted this morning the awards ceremony of the Tasting Contest of "Galician Red Wines" organized by the "Irmandade dos Centros Galegos in Euskadi" on the occasion of the Day of Galicia in Euskadi.
One more year the red wines of the Ribeira Sacra Denomination of Origin have been the best valued by the tasting panel that are members of the Association of Euskadi of Sumilleres - Euskadiko Sumillerren Elkartea. D.O. Ribeira Sacra presented to this tasting 14 samples belonging to 9 wineries and today they received their recognition: Capador, 2017 Mencía barrel of Adega Tear, first classified and Casa Moreiras, Mencía 2018 of Adega Casa Moreiras, as third classified.
The prize-contest organizer, José David Fidalgo and the President of the C.R.D.O.R.S., José Manuel Rodríguez participated in the awards ceremony. José David Fidalgo highlighted in his speech the effort of the Irmandade of Galician Centers in Euskadi to promote Galician products and, in particular, Galician wines “with this tasting-contest in which the wines of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra always get prizes. Every year the wines of this Denomination are better known and recognized ”.
José Manuel Rodríguez, congratulated the winners and thanked the work of all the wineries that present their wines to competitions, contests and fairs “obtaining excellent results and making it possible the wines of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra are known throughout the world. ” And I appreciated the celebration of the Tasting of the Galician Red Wines in Euskadi. Its promoter, José David Fidalgo, would also give recognition gift to José Manuel Rodríguez, for the collaboration of the D.O. In this tasting contest.
