Presentation of the Guide of Wines, Spirits and Cellars of Galicia 2015
The Guide of Wines, Spirits and Cellars of Galicia 2015 has been officially launched this morning in Ribeira Sacra.
The author of the guide, Luis Paadín, renowned sommelier, wine taster and teaching was accompanied by José Manuel Rodríguez González, president of the Designation of Origin.
Luis Paadín thanked the members of the Ribeira Sacra Regulatory Council for the collaboration received and effort to carry out the double blind tasting of wines is made for inclusion in the directory. José Manuel Rodríguez has also emphasized the great effort made by wineries of Ribeira Sacra which this year have significantly increased the presence of wines with designation of origin Ribeira Sacra.
The Guide has over 1,400 references of wine, wineries and breweries 523 and 535 tasting notes.
Ribeira Sacra has 93 wineries referenced in the Guide, where a total of 90 wines of the appellation have obtained a medal: 11 Grand Gold medals, 51 Gold medals, 28 Silver medals, a significant increase compared to the 2014 edition where wines from Ribeira Sacra won 35 medals.
The Guide, as in the three previous editions, has been edited by Servino Consulting through micro-patronage system and this year there has been a run of 2,000 copies that can be purchased at the price of € 20 a copy in commercial surfaces, bookstores and specialty wine shops.
