Sample Collection for the Rating Tasting Harvest 2014

Technicians of the Regulatory Council have begun collecting the samples for the Rating Tasting Harvest 2014 that will take place on February 20th in subregion of Chantada, in the municipality of Carballedo (Lugo).
For the tasting a total of ten samples from ten different wineries will be collected, two were compiled for each of the five subregions that form the appellation of origin Ribeira Sacra (Amandi, Chantada, Quiroga Bibei, Ribeiras do Miño and Ribeiras do Sil).
This time the tasting panel will be composed of nine renowned expert tasters from different sources:
- Mercedes González Rodríguez, the Vitislucus Experts Association in Sensory Analysis
- Marcote Jorge Gil, of the Association of Sommeliers Agasu
- Ruben Dominguez Valverde of the Galician Association of Winemakers
- José María Martínez Alonso, a member of the tasting panel of CRDO Ribeira Sacra
- Mazaira Jorge Pérez, Technical Director of the DO valdeorras
- Raluy Antonio Rodriguez, a member of the tasting panel of CRDO Ribeira Sacra
- Juan Leon Perez of the Youth Association of Friends of Wine Valdepeñas
- Barber Elena Soto, the Cofradia del Vino de Navarra
- Andres Camacho Garcia of the Youth Association of Friends of Wine Valdepeñas
In the last nine vintages rating crops Ribeira Sacra have been rated as "Very Good", in this vintage 2014 must wait for the qualification that give the experts but is expected to at least this harvest is also described as very good.
