Adegas e Viñedos Vía Romana was born in 1997, within the D.O. Ribeira Sacra (Galicia) in the Chantada subzone. The winery is located in a 16th century manor house, it owes its name to a Roman road that linked Astorga with Braga, and whose purpose was to transport the exceptional wines of that area. It is worth seeing the vineyard at your feet, which overcomes a difficult but privileged orography on the banks of the Miño.

Vía Romana is a commitment to quality, care and know-how of a family tradition since the first harvest in 1998, with special care in offering the essence of the land where our vines grow.

Vía Romana has 16 hectares of its own vineyard, with trellis formation, located on slopes located in the valleys and ravines of the river, characterized by producing limited harvests of grapes with very concentrated flavors. The harvest is carried out completely manually, accessed through paths and, sometimes, even by the river itself, defying vertigo from the terraces, practicing heroic viticulture.
