The Ribeira Sacra white wines gain 90 points from Parker
All the hard work being done in the D.O.R.S. continues to bear fruit. After two barrel-aged red wines from the D.O. obtained world-wide recognition by appearing in the Wine Advocate with a rating above 90 points, it is now the turn of the white wines. Two white wines from the D.O.R.S. obtained more than 90 points from Parker. They are the Almalarga 2007 (subregion of Ribeiras do Miño) from bodega Pena das Donas S.L. And Peza do Rei white 2007 (subregion of Ribeiras do Sil) from bodega César EnrÃquez. These wines are now 'Spain´s top 100' Spanish wines of great quality that can be found on the American market. This type of recognition can be attributed to the hard work done by the C.R.D.O.R.S. and will encourage new visits to the D.O. from foreign importers and distributors.
