The list of winners from the Denominación de Origen Ribeira Sacra this year is completed by the Cervim Special Prize 2010 that went to Regina Viarum S.L. (subregion of Amandi), who had already won this prestigious prize the previous year. This prize is given to one bodega from each country and is the total of the sum of the points obtained by the different wines presented by each bodega.

In September representatives of the C.R.D.O.R.S. will go to Aosta to collect the awards that will finally be given to the prize winners at the Christmas meal that is organised every year by the Regulatory Council.

The competition of Aosta is always a rewarding event for the D.O. Ribeira Sacra, there our wines compete with hundreds of wines from all over the world, all of them having in common that they are produced in areas of steep hills or mountain regions, it is a way of giving prestige to and distinguishing this type of viticulture. Every year the results of the D.O. are spectacular, and the constant improvement and development of the wines that are made here are reflected in the fact that each year the wines of the Ribeira Sacra receive better and better results at this competition. The year 2010 resulted in 13 prizes for the D.O. and this number does not make us suspicious about the future.
