Winners in the XXXIV edition Amandi Wine Festival
A year more in Ribeira Sacra Amandi Wine Festival was held in Sober (Lugo) is the starting point for the Easter holidays and other events held in the area.
During the previous month pre-celebration of the Festival the council held various events to promote wines from Subzone Amandi, including courses i introduction to wine tasting, a tasting for the visually impaired and a course on aspects of the pathology of the face to sustainable viticulture vine.
Among the events taking place at the festival takes place in the Official Tasting the wines that are present at the fair are presented. The pre-tasting takes place on Saturday afternoon and the official tasting at Sunday morning, while delivering the same after the official proclamation that this was given by the piper Carlos Núñez.
This contest will choose the top 3 wines without there being any preference among themselves, this year winning wines were:
- Don Bernardino of the cellar Don Bernardino S.L.
- Cruceiro of the cellar Ramón Marcos Fernández
- As Muras of the cellar Tomás Rodríguez González
The tasting panel consisted of Mar Vilanova de la Torre, a researcher at the Mission Biological Galicia; María Eugenia González Medina, winemaker and tasting panel member of CRDO Ribeira Sacra; Juan Manuel Casares Gandara, director of Viticulture and Enology Station of Galicia; David Cidre Guitián, teacher training cycle Servizos Restoration of the Hotel School of Rosende (Sober) Belarmino Fernández Iglesias and José María Martínez Alonso, a member of the tasting panel CRDO Ribeira Sacra and sommelier - wine bar owner "O Beiro" in Santiago de Compostela.
