14 wineries of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra receive their HGg&T awards

19/12/2019

14 wineries of the D.O. Ribeira Sacra received, in the Regulatory Council Headquarters, individualized medals that accredit them as winners of the HGg&T tastings, held during 2018.

D.O. Ribeira Sacra, in the comparatives held in 2018, was awarded with 18 distinctions, 4 golds, 7 silver and 7 bronzes for the 14 wineries summoned to this award ceremony. Diplomas that certify they obtained a gold, silver or bronze medal in the last year´s tastings , demonstrating a continuous commitment to quality: Chao do Couso, Adegas Cachín, Ronsel do Sil, Regina Viarum, Vía Romana, Abadía da Cova, Ponte da Boga, Casa Moreiras, Lar de Ricobao, Virxen dos Remedios, Val da Lenda, Finca Míllara, Amedo and Alma das Donas.

The delivery of this Wednesday afternoon is after the Galician Tourism and Gastronomy Gala held in Santiago de Compostela last October, in which these distinctions had been proclaimed. On that occasion, the certifications were given to the Regulatory Councils certifying the podiums obtained by their representatives. On this occasion it was time to deliver the distinction, individually, to each distinguished company. In this act Marta Villén participated in representation of the C.R.D.O.R.S., the founding Director of HGg&T magazine, Guillermo Campos and Luis Buitrón representing the Galician Association of Winemakers (AGE), “official” members of the magazine's Tasting panels.

Guillemo Campos took advantage of the proximity of Christmas dates to encourage everyone to drink wine with D.O. "The magazine worked as a link with the wine sector and we developed a work of defense of Galician wines, so at this time, we encourage people to drink Galician wines with Denomination of Origin."

This Wednesday was also held at the headquarters of the C.R.D.O.R.S. the renewal of the agreement between the D.O. Ribeira Sacra and ABANCA. The new financial agreement grows with new credit options to meet the demands of the associated wine growers and the Regulatory Council. Wine growers will also be able to access specific loans with broad repayment terms and low interest rates. The offer is completed with other products such as foreign trade lines, financing through leasing, confirming, factoring, guarantees and advances of subsidies or taxes.
