During the meeting, they reviewed different action plans focusing on improvements for producers, management, and tourism promotion.
Renowned international critic James Suckling has published his annual "Top 100 Spanish Wines" list, with the GuÃmaro MencÃa Ribeira Sacra Finca Meixeman 2022, from the Ribeira Sacra Denomination of Origin, ranked as the best wine in Spain. Other Ribeira Sacra wines achieved top positions: F. Algueira Ribeira Sacra Dolio 2020 at number 6 and GuÃmaro Ribeira Sacra Camiño Real 2022 at 31.

The harvest in the Ribeira Sacra Designation of Origin has concluded with a crop that has produced grapes of excellent quality. To date, 4.881.326 kilos of grapes have been harvested, reflecting the effort of viticulturists and wineries to preserve heroic viticulture and maintain high production quality.
As of October 11, 2024, the grape harvest in Ribeira Sacra is nearing its end with a total of 4,868,906 kilos of grapes collected so far.

The Denomination of Origin Ribeira Sacra achieved excellent results in the recent edition of the Mondial des Vins Extrêmes 2024, a globally renowned wine competition for wines produced in mountain regions or through heroic viticulture. This year, the event took place in the Aosta Valley, Italy, an alpine region known for its steeply sloped vineyards.
As of October 1, 2024, the grape harvest in Ribeira Sacra is progressing with a total of 4,266,320 kilos of grapes collected so far. Currently, 41 wineries are still harvesting, while 47 have already completed the process. The quality of the grapes collected so far is rated as excellent by the Consello Regulador and the wineries.
Yesterday, September 23rd, the grape harvest in the Ribeira Sacra Designation of Origin officially began, as determined by the Plenary Session of the Consello Regulador, based on the ripeness controls carried out by the technical staff of the Consello. This year, local winemakers have highlighted the excellent condition of the grapes, which promises a high-quality harvest.
